How does booking work?

Pick a spa, choose a service, time, and confirm. Your $15 deposit holds the slot. When you book on AsianMassages.net, here is what happens:

Pick a spa and tap Book online.
Choose your service (Tuina, Thai, Foot Reflexology, etc.).
Pick a date and time slot.
Confirm and we hold a $15 refundable deposit.
The salon confirms within 30 minutes, or your booking auto-cancels with no charge.
You will receive SMS reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before your appointment.

You will find the booking in your account with a confirmation code like AM-XXXXXX.

What if I need to cancel?

Accepted Answer

24+ hours: full refund. 12-24 hours: 50%. Under 12 hours: forfeit deposit. Life happens. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both customers and salons:

24+ hours before: Full refund of your deposit. No questions.
12-24 hours before: 50% refund.
Under 12 hours / no-show: Deposit forfeit. Salons rely on this to fill the slot.

To cancel, go to your bookings and tap Cancel on the relevant booking.

Question 3

How do I know a therapist is licensed?

Accepted Answer

Look for the green checkmark next to the therapist name on the spa profile. Every featured therapist on AsianMassages.net displays their license number and the state that issued it. Look for the green checkmark badge that reads License #XXXXXX verified.
We verify licenses directly with state boards (CAMTC in California, NY DOH, FL DOH). Verified licenses are re-checked annually and 60 days before expiry.
If you spot a therapist whose license seems invalid, please let us know.

How do I claim my spa listing?

Accepted Answer

Find your spa, tap Claim, verify your phone, upload your business license. Approved within 24h. If your spa is already listed (likely — we have imported public business data for most US Asian massage establishments):

Tap Claim This Listing.
Enter your business phone and we will text you a 6-digit code.
Upload a photo or PDF of your massage establishment license.
Our team reviews within 24 hours and emails you login instructions.

It is free to claim and manage your listing. Upgrade tiers unlock booking, SMS, multi-therapist support, and analytics.

Question 6

How do payouts work?

Accepted Answer

Stripe Connect — daily payouts to your bank account, minus any platform commission. Online bookings are paid through Stripe Connect (or PayPal Commerce or Coinbase Commerce if you prefer crypto):

Customer pays deposit when they book.
You confirm the booking within 30 minutes.
Customer pays the remaining balance on arrival (or you can require full prepayment).
Stripe transfers your earnings to your linked bank account on a daily schedule.

Connect your payout method in your salon dashboard → Payments.
Commission: 3% per online booking (Free tier: $2.00 flat fee). Paid tiers waive this entirely.

Question 7

How do reviews work?

Accepted Answer

Only verified customers can leave a review. You can reply once per review. We use verified reviews only:

A customer can only leave a review if they had a confirmed booking that was marked completed.
Each customer gets a private review link in their post-booking email.
Reviews rated 1-2 stars go to our moderation queue (24-hour SLA) before publishing — protects you from bad-faith reviews.
You can reply once per review from your salon dashboard.

Your aggregate rating updates in real time as reviews are published.

Question 8

What data do you collect about me?

Accepted Answer

Phone, name, email if you provide, and the spas you book. That is it. We never sell data. The bare minimum to run the platform:

Phone number — required, used for SMS-based sign-in and booking confirmations.
Name — shown to the salon when you book.
Email — optional, used for receipts.
Bookings & favorites — kept in your account so you can review and re-book.
Standard server logs — IP, user-agent, page (for security & rate limiting).
